Increasing Knowledge of Abraham Sacrificing Isaac

Jesus is the A and Z. He who is, who was, and who is to come. He came into this world to die on the cross of Calvary to shed His blood on the Cross of Calvary for the remission of your sins. He was crucified, buried, and God raised Him up from the dead three days later. Believe in the LORD Jesus Christ and you shall be made free in eternity.


Daniel 12:4

4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Genesis 22:1-2
And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.

2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

James 1:13

13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

Genesis 22:3

3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.

Genesis 22:13

13And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

When God tempted Abaham to sacrifice, the following is the elaboration.

God told Abraham to take his only son Isaac for a burnt offering.
Sacrifice has two definitions. 
God had Abraham sacrifice (give up) Isaac, for a sacrifice (the ram).
Abraham gave up Isaac, and the ram was killed as a religious sacrifice to the LORD. 
God knew what he was doing. He spoke once and had a double application to it.
