How To Get along With Other Denominations. Nine Steps
How do you receive the Holy Spirit?
Jesus is A and Z. He who is, who was, and who is to come. He came into this world to die on the cross and shed His blood for the remission of your sins. He was buried. God raised Him up from the dead three days later. Believe in the LORD Jesus Christ and you will receive the Holy Spirit. God the Father, God the LORD and Savior Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are one.
How To Get along With Other Denominations.
Step 1: Use the fruit of the Spirit
Galatians 5:22-23 KJV
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Step 2: Be charitable about it.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Step 3: Understand that we all one even if we don't have the same gifts.
Galatians 3:28-29
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Step 4: Understand that we are many.
1 Corinthians 12:12-27
12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
14 For the body is not one member, but many.
15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?
20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.
21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked.
25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
The I am Servant Bonus. If a Baptist says a Lutheran is not of the Body of Christ is the Baptist no longer of body of Christ?
Step 5: Understand that you must love all your family in Christ.
1 John 4:20
20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
Step 6: Understand we all have the same mission to serve the LORD.
John 4:24
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
John 1:17
17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
Proverbs 2:6
6For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
When you worship, more specifically when you're listening to other people speak. If is common for people to argue and oppose. Instead use grace and truth for that is serving the LORD. With wisdom and understanding, all you have to do is seek peace, and tell your brethren in Christ, "Continue to draw close to the LORD. I'm praying for you." If you have a strong conviction to oppose and you just feel the LORD is convicting you to speak up, with wisdom and understanding you can say, "May the LORD's will be done in this situation. And may we both draw closer to the LORD."
James 2:15-17
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
We are not here to win arguments. We are here to serve the LORD. Jesus was not constantly rebuking Judas his whole time.
Step 7: Understand there is an answer to can you get along with other denominations.
Can you get along with other denominations?
Phillipians 4:13
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Steps 8: Worst case scenario.
If something were to happen, such as a brother in Christ sinning against you forgive.
Matthew 6:12-15
12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. 14For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
